Rotary Young People Leadership Awards
RYLA is a week-long leadership development programme for 20 – 28-year olds hosted and sponsored by clubs in Rotary District 9920. It is an experiential live in programme designed to develop their teamwork and communication skills and fulfil their potential as leaders in our community.
Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment
RYPEN is a Youth Leadership program over a weekend long camp for Year 11 and Year 13 students, designed at developing young people’s potential through a mixture of lecture style sessions and adventure-based learning.
MUNA
Model United Nations Assembly
MUNA simulates the working of the United Nations Assembly by having schools in teams of two or three Year 12 and 13 (Forms 6 and 7) students represent a participating UN country in debates on matters of world politics and social concern. The Assembly encourages students to share their opinions and friendship with students from other schools, which helps their personal development.
Rotary Youth Exchanges for students ages 15-19 are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries. They last a full academic year, and students attend local schools and live with multiple host families.
Students learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. The experience inspires young leaders to serve as catalysts for peace and social justice in their local communities and throughout the world, long after their exchanges end.
The Rotary National Science and Technology Forum is a two-week-long residential programme held in the January school holidays organized by Rotary in conjunction with Auckland’s Tertiary Institutions.
Pukekohe Rotary provides an opportunity for 2 or 3 high achieving Pukekohe High School students to spend time with similar-minded people.
The experiences gained result in overall personal growth and renewed motivation to succeed.
